New developments:
– So many more sounds
– Recognizes Mummie & Daddie and always flashes us a smile
– Lots and Lots of Giggles when we talk to him or tickle him
– Grabs our fingers and pulls himself up
– When his face is covered with something, he pulls it off
– Grabs his toes with his hands
– Sometimes flips from his belly to his back (he tends to do this more when I’m not looking!)
– Teething signs like chomping on his fingers, and more drool
– Went through a week of making this funny “aahhh…aahhh” sound from his throat. It was a constant toned sound.
– Last week or so he’s been making lots of bubbles/rasberry’ with his lips
– Shows signs of irritation when he’s not getting attention
– Whines a little more lately when over tired
– Sucks on his fingers when he’s sleepy or hungry
– Self soothes to sleep by sucking his fingers
– Extended his stretch of sleep from 4-5 hrs to 6-7 hrs at a time
– Raise my feet at a 90 degrees, just for fun
Somethings I don’t do anymore:
– Don’t fit into all my 3 month old clothes, time to retire some of them!
– Almost done with size 1 diapers
– Don’t wake up 2x’s a night
– Don’t sleep on the bed with Mummie & Daddie anymore (moved to floor bed at about 4.5 months)
– Don’t swaddle anymore (as of about 4.5 months we stopped swaddling completely)
– Don’t fit in the sink anymore for baths
Current routine:
Wake up around 4AM to eat and go back to sleep.
Wake up again around 6 or 7AM to play, if Daddie is awake he changes my diaper
Eat again at around 8AM, play some more and then nap again
I’m awake for about 2hr spans. And nap during the day for about 45 mins to 1 hour.
Play with Daddie when he gets home from work around 7PM
I get changed into my PJ’s around 7:45PM, after Prarthna, I am usually in bed by 8PM.
Mummie feeds me before she goes to sleep, usually between 10PM and midnight.
During my awake time I…
– do tummy time, mummie makes me roll around on the floor
– story time, I love reading “Who do I see?”
– Watch mummie cook
– Hang out on the bouncer (which I’m growing out of)
– Singing with Mummie
– Peek-a-boo…”mummie kyaa gaiii?”
– Sitting up on the bed with lots of pillows
What do I eat:  Thepla and chaa almost every morning. Lunch is usually leftovers…Khichdi, kadhi, burritos, tofu, salad, shaak, pasta. We’ve been eating out a lot these days too. Got to cut back!
Clothes size: I’m mostly in 3 to 6 month clothes. I still fit into a few of my 3 month clothes but it’s almost time to retire the 3 month clothes.
Diaper size: My size 1 Pampers swaddlers are starting to get a bit tight. We already have a stash of size 2 ready to go! My pre-folds are starting to get really tight too. Some of the larger pre-folds fit comfortably but it’s a challenge to fasten them closed, there is no more bulks of cloth leftover! I’m getting bigger! I also wiggle a lot during diaper changes…it takes them forever to get the thing on me. I’m pretty good about lifting my feet up to 90 degrees to help out!
Mummie & Daddie are looking forward to:
Everyday it’s something new. You are so close to sitting up on your own and it will really be amazing seeing that. You area already pulling yourself up with some support. It’s just a matter of time before you do it all by yourself and I can’t wait to be right there with you. This month will also be your last one exclusively breastfeeding. Next month you will be starting solids…and it’s such a bittersweet milestone for me but a part of me is looking forward to having you explore the various foods we enjoy. Especially since you have been eyeing us when we eat. I feel guilty for eating in front of you because you definitely look like you’re getting close for solids!
Memorable moment:
Taking the leap and quitting my job to be a full time mommy was a very memorable moment for me. It was the moment I realized how much Baby S means to me and how badly I want to be a part of this precious time in his life because it is SO short.

Taking Baby S out for the first time was very exciting. Up until he was two months old we stuck to taking him to places where he was not exposed to too many hands. The mall, to dinner etc. After he turned 3 months we took him to his first social event which was Srushti’s 4th birthday party, his cousins birthday party and once Spring time graced us, after his 4 month birthday, we went to Swadhyay for the first time where we sat together in the Parents ‘n Kid (Baby BSK as I call it) room to listen to pravachan. He met so many more friends. He hung out in his stroller most of the time and did pretty well.
Daddie says:
I’m looking forward to bringing you home! A place where you’ll build lifelong memories and to your room where you’ll be escaping to when you’re “studying”!
