16 weeks – Birthday week!

This week is my birthday week and our little one is the size of an avacado! One of my all time favorites and thankfully I was able to continue loving them through my pregnancy. Been eating lots of them and they are one of the most satisfying snacks for me. Luckily, they grow in my parents backyard and I’ve been getting an ample supply!

It was a big milestone for me…the big THREE – OH! And I couldn’t have asked for anything more on such a memorable birthday.

Hubby had planned a surprise birthday party for me. It was a morning/afternoon picnic at our neighborhood park. All of our friends and cousins joined in on the fun. And I was definitely surprised! On Saturday morning as we finished off breakfast, hubby said he wanted to take me out for my birthday. I’d been saying I wanted to go to the beach. So I assumed we were going to the beach. But I had a feeling he had something else also planned as he was rushing me to get out the door. After blind folding me for about 5 minutes, we arrived to our destination. And when I walked out, still blindfolded, I knew we were at the park but I was not expecting to open my eyes to all our family and friends. It was a fun day of food, pictures, and amazing company. We moved the party from the park to the house in the afternoon given how hot it was. And in the evening we went out for some yummy Thai food!

On the day of my birthday, I had work! But in the evening we went out to dinner with my parents and enjoyed some Mexican food. The day went by fast!

It was good birthday weekend and it was even better knowing that it’s going to be an amazing year ahead.

Oh..and I forgot to mention the cherry on top. A week ago, hubby told me my birthday present! He said, he wanted to tell me sooner than later in the case I wanted to change my mind. He booked us a trip to Maui, Hawaii! People kept asking us where we were going on our babymoon and I kept saying probably something local. I was not ready to fly and bring forth any sort of unnecessary risk. So he heard me saying that a few times which is why he decided to tell me about my birthday trip. I was SO SURPRISED..definitely was not expecting that! So mid May we are Maui bound for a wonderful birthday and babymoon trip! I’m still hesitant and keep going back and forth about it but I’ll leave things to God and pray that all will be well.

I’m thankful for my wonderful husband and everything he does to make this a very special and memorable journey for both of us. I don’t know what I’d do without him :).
